"Topsoil and Rain" Wall Art

I was inspired to create this typographical sign from a fairly popular paper sign printed on letterhead from the Farm Equipment Association of Minnesota and South Dakota. In researching the quote, I found it in various forms, attributed to a handful of people – none of whom actually seemed to be the original author. As such, I felt comfortable tweaking it a bit myself to better fit the layout of the artwork and attributed it to "Unknown." The artwork is laser etched onto quality birch plywood and strung with twine for hanging.

The full text of the sign reads:

"Despite all of our accomplishments, we owe our very existence to a six inch layer of topsoil and the fact that it rains. – Unknown"

Please be aware that not every piece of wood looks the same and due to these natural variations in wood grain and color, yours may be slightly different than shown. These variations are what make handcrafted items unique and one of a kind!
